These terms govern your use of the Snow & Adventure Club website and your participation in club activities. By creating an account or registering for an adventure, you agree to these terms.

Membership

Membership in Snow & Adventure Club is curated. We reserve the right to accept or decline any membership request at our discretion. Membership is non-transferable.

Annual membership dues are billed at the rates listed on the membership page. The membership year runs April 1 through March 31. Dues are non-refundable once paid.

Members in good standing receive priority access to adventure registration before spots are opened to the waitlist.

Adventure registration and payment

When you register for an adventure, you are committing to participate and to pay the full trip price according to the payment schedule listed on the adventure page.

Deposits. A deposit is required at the time of registration. The deposit amount and any early-bird pricing deadlines are listed on each adventure page.

Payment schedule. Remaining payments are due according to the installment schedule shown during registration. Failure to make a scheduled payment may result in forfeiture of your spot.

What's included. Each adventure page lists what is and is not included in the price. Unless explicitly stated, flights, travel insurance, lift tickets, equipment rental, and most meals are not included.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation by you. If you cancel your registration:

  • More than 120 days before the trip start date: full refund minus a $100 administrative fee
  • 90-120 days before: 50% refund
  • Less than 90 days before: no refund

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 business days.

Cancellation by us. If we cancel an adventure due to insufficient enrollment, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund. We are not liable for any non-refundable travel expenses (flights, insurance, etc.) you may have booked independently.

Spot transfers. You may transfer your spot to another person subject to our approval. A $50 transfer fee applies.

Assumption of risk and liability

Participation in Snow & Adventure Club activities involves inherent risks. By registering for an adventure, you agree to sign our liability waiver, which covers assumption of risk, release of liability, and related terms. The waiver is presented during the registration process and must be signed before your registration is confirmed.

Code of conduct

All members and guests are expected to:

  • Treat fellow participants, staff, and locals with respect
  • Follow the instructions of trip leaders and local guides, especially regarding safety
  • Ski and ride within your ability level
  • Not engage in behavior that endangers yourself or others
  • Comply with the laws of the destination country

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose conduct is unsafe, disruptive, or otherwise inappropriate, without refund.

Intellectual property

All content on the Snow & Adventure Club website — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by Snow & Adventure Club of the Carolinas. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without our written permission.

Photos and videos taken during club adventures may be used by the club for promotional purposes, as described in the media release section of our waiver.

Website use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access another member's account
  • Interfere with the operation of the website
  • Scrape, crawl, or automated-access the website without permission

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snow & Adventure Club of the Carolinas, its officers, directors, organizers, trip leaders, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in club activities or use of the website.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your participation in club activities shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of the State of North Carolina.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active members. Continued use of the website or participation in club activities after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
